Irresistibly Bow-licious with SIMON SAYS STAMP!

Hi all!

Bows are EVERYWHERE now! I'm a girly-girl through and through! Sequins...check...pink...check...2 daughters...check. I am all princess, frilly and SPARKLE! However, it wasn't always the case.

I was born in Michigan, but moved our family moved to the south before I was 1. My entire childhood was spent with the southern influence. Lots of twang, girly things and rollerskates! At age 13, we moved to Ohio and I became, well, let's just say 'camp-y'. When I graduated from high school in 1990...I've just aged myself...I had spent most of my high school years working and attending a YMCA camp in Jackson Michigan and lived for cut-off shorts, t-shirts and baha cover-ups. Very natural...very non-girly. I decided to attend the University of Kentucky and it changed very quickly.

Now if you know anything about Kentucky...it's about the most girly place you can go! In the 90's, it was all about sororities and bows. Bows on EVERYTHING. Hair?...bow...shirt?...bow...shoelaces?...bow...belts?...You guessed it...bow. I came home my freshman year with the return of my southern twang, and a wardrobe covered in bows. Everything from the 90's is popular again...so I guess I am hip once again? I've moved on to diamonds and sequins, but the bow culture still has a hold of my heart! I even put 2 huge bows in my 2.5 yr old God-daughters hair every morning!

So...I guess you could say...I am beyond excited that companies like Simon Says Stamp have been creating bow themed items! When their March card kit come out, it was the Pretty Bows die that clenched the purchase for me. I HAD to have them. I created this card for an Instagram hop I'm in called FAN-tastic SSS Card Hop....all participants created items using any Simon Says Stamp item.

How can any girl deny the allure of all these adorable pink bows??? They're just pulling at this 'southern' girls little 'ole heart! I had to add the glitter paper and...SWOON...I'm in love! I used every color of pink paper I had on hand and made some modifications to keep nearly each bow different. There are 5 different bows in the set, so not a ton of changes need to be made.

I will be setting this little cutie card aside for a certain young woman just as obsessed with bows as I am...her birthday is at the end of the summer. I may not be able to wait that long....

That's all for now, have a colorful day!
